About Us
  Our Philosophy

The mission of Salma K. Farid Academy is to provide an institution that molds young Muslims into great leaders of tomorrow. We provide our students with individualized guidance and attention that they need. We encourage our students to progress at their own pace, within an atmosphere that provides Islamic structure and guidance, in a nurturing and disciplined environment.
Salma K. Farid Academy offers a comprehensive and highly challenging curriculum, for both its academic and Islamic Education, following all requirements of the Connecticut Board of Education, as well as the Holy Quran, Sunnah, Hadith, and Ta’leemul Haq (Teaching of Islam).
We ask Allah (Subhanahu WA Ta’ala) for His guidance while we build a strong foundation for evolving our students into an elite group of young Muslims.

Our Goal Our Objective
Our goal is to educate the best-rounded Muslim children spiritually, academically, physically, socially and emotionally. By incorporating technology, hands-on experiences, exploration, investigation and discovery; the Academy will work interdependently with each child to create his/her optimal learning pace, style, and methodology. Our objective is to foster the love in each of our children's hearts for Allah (May He be glorified), our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), our parents, family and ummah (community) locally and globally; first, by example, and second, by instruction. Embodying the Five Pillars of Islam and believing in the Six Pillars of Iman (Faith) will be expected, and only the highest-level of moral and ethical character (such as trust, honesty, self-sufficiency, courage, self-respect, confidence, etc.) will be tolerated. In doing so, our children will excel in all areas of life because Allah (May He be glorified) promises victory to all Mu'mineen (true believers).
